Paige Productions

Hi, my name is Kevin Paige, I've been performing, writing, producing, arranging & engineering practically my entire life. You can view my credits in the "discography" page of this web site. I've spent the last several years helping unsigned artists fulfill their dreams of making great sounding records without killing them on the budget. I tend to work with solo singer artists but not exclusively. In most cases I record people who don't play an instrument (or at least a lot of instruments) therefore, I'm able to "do my thing" to the tracks. This situation works well also because I can move much quicker if I'm playing most of the stuff. (Drums, bass, keys, guitars) I love to take the artists material and craft it into a commercial package with unique arrangements. I also have a passion for coaching vocalist and really helping them deliver better vocals. I am selling my producer services not studio time by the hour. Please check out some audio samples of different projects done here at Paige Productions.

Studio Gear & Layout

I am running a Pro-Tools HD system with lots of integrated synth gear.
A Yamaha C6 Grand Piano
A full "Pearl Masterworks" drum kit
Various guitar amps-Hughes & Kettner, Fender "Deville", Fender "Twin"
Many guitars and gadgets.
The studio has a comfortable lounge as well. Great for meals and phone calls or just hanging out.

Here's the deal… At the end of the day, you don't want to spend your money based on gear. You want someone involved who will care 100% about your product and every little detail from start to finish. Believe me, I have seen enough people working on recordings who can't help but get the "That's good enough" attitude at the end of a project or a long day. That does not happen here. My credibility and my love for music won't let me do anything that I think isn't "The best I can do".

Cost

This is an impossible area to put a general rate on. Every project is completely different and has different expectations and needs. I have to talk to the client and see what it is they want to achieve. Is it an all-original material project? Is it simply Praise & Worship material that everyone is familiar with? Is it a full band project or something that I will be playing all the instruments on? There are lots of questions and every answer has a different price outcome. I don't use an "Hourly Rate" or a "Day Rate". I like to go with a blanket "Project Rate". There is no "Studio Cost" per-say, you are buying my Producer skills not the studio. However, if there is a need to bring in additional studio musicians that is an additional fee. I will give you an idea of cost. A 12 song CD can be done on as little as $12,000 or a much more elaborate project could go up to $20,000. Most professional projects can take up to 5 or 6 weeks to complete them. If you were looking for something very simple and quick that would change the cost dramatically.

CD Mastering/Artwork Design & Layout/ Duplication

I have several options I can suggest for these services or feel free to use your own.

Mastering is a process that has to be done for your CD to sound competitive with other Major Label releases. It puts the music at a sound level equal to your store bought CD's As well as adding some finishing touches to the sonic qualities of the recordings this can be done for approx. $450 In general, a quality reproduction of 1,000 CD's is Approx. $1,500 - $2,000

Quality "Artwork and Design" is generally around $1,500 (you can get this done cheap, but your product could really suffer for it!)

Photographer approx. $300

Thanks for considering Paige Productions, God Bless.
